To peel off superficial skin cells by means of pineapple and papaya enzymes.

COMPOSITION

Enzyme peeling is a biological peeling of the skin based on natural enzymes as for example pineapple or papaya enzymes. These enzymes provide protein as well as lipid-degrading properties. The mask base is a mixture of kaolin and bentonite.

Kaolin, Solum Diatomeae (Diatomaceous Earth), Bentonite, CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), Maltodextrin, Carica Papaya Fruit, Ananas Sativus Fruit (Pineapple), CI 77492 (Iron Oxides)

PROPERTIES

Applying the enzyme peeling loosens and removes the dead skin cells (keratinozytes). The result are smaller pores, a very even skin appearance and an increased receptivity of the skin for the subsequently applied active agents. In addition to that it has a preventive effect against comedones, milia and pustules. Along with the influence of heat and humidity the enzymes penetrate between comedo plug and follicular wall and loosen or even partially dissolve the sebaceous and cornoid mixture. Enzyme peeling is recommended for the facial skin as well as other body parts as for example the chapped backs of the hand and areas of bad skin on the back.

APPLICATION

One application requires between six and ten grams of mask powder. By adding water the powder is mixed into an easily spreading paste. With a spatula or a brush the mixture can be applied abundantly on the face, neck and the low neckline (décolleté) and even shortly massaged into the skin. It is recommended to avoid the areas around the eyes. In order to allow the enzymes to become effective, the mask should stay on the skin up to 20 minutes and be combined with a heat and moisturising treatment either with vapor or warm and moist compresses. After the treatment the mask should be thoroughly removed with water. The enzyme peeling is very gentle on the skin and thus can also be applied on sensitive skin. There will be no harsh peeling effects as e.g. with fruit acids or herb peelings. The enzyme peeling is specifically designed for bad and oily skin. For dry, cracked, scarred and atrophic skin it is recommended to use DMS-peeling cream with jojoba beads.
